Between land and sea, you will discover the abbaye des Chateliers built in the 12th century. You can still visit the remains of its abbey church, the galleries, the refectory and the cloister garden.
Since 1990, it has been classified as a Historic Monument. The Fort de la Prée, 17th century, is the oldest military fortification on the island.
Nestled in the heart of the Fleet, Sainte Catherine’s Church with its bell tower, stained glass windows and facade is also to be discovered.
La Flotte en Ré, it is also superb beaches where everyone can relax safely. If some prefer to indulge in idleness, others can swim and try their hand at many water sports. Fleets and holidaymakers meet on the beach of Arnérault, a few steps from the centre of the Fleet.
