La Flotte is home to some of the most important monuments on the Ile de R\u00e9.<\/p>

Between land and sea, you’ll discover the Abbaye des Ch\u00e2teliers, built in the 12th century and listed as a Historic Monument since 1990. You can still visit the remains of the abbey church, the galleries, the refectory and the cloister garden. <\/p>

The 17th-century Fort de la Pr\u00e9e is the oldest military fortification on the island. The Mus\u00e9e du Platin, located in the Port de la Flotte, welcomes you to discover the maritime history and traditions of the Ile de R\u00e9. Created in 1804 on the model of the markets of the Middle Ages, it is housed in a paved courtyard lined with wooden lean-tos where traders set up shop. It brings together the best of local producers in a unique atmosphere. <\/p>
