With its colorful stalls, this medieval-inspired market is certainly the most unusual on the Ile de Ré. Set in a charming cobbled square, it offers a wide choice of local produce, from seafood to fresh vegetables.

The La Flotte-en-Ré market, open every day of the year from 7.30am to 1pm, is a must for gourmets.

Don’t miss the evening braderie on 3ᵉ Thursdays in July and August for exceptional offers on local produce, as well as late openings in high season.

Marché du Bois Plage en Ré

The Bois-Plage-en-Ré market, the largest on the Ile de Ré, is open every morning from April to September, and on certain days the rest of the year. In La Couarde-sur-Mer, you can choose between two markets: Le Mail and Le Centre.

A multitude of merchants, each more friendly than the last, offer you an atmosphere of sparkling smells and colors. Strolling through these two markets on the Ile de Ré is a real treat for the eyes and the taste buds. You’ll discover a wide range of stalls selling delicatessen, fresh produce, flowers, fish and souvenirs.

Opening times and days vary according to the time of year, so don’t hesitate to ask for information at the town hall.
